Rob Perry
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Laws & Bachelor of Arts (Monash University)
Rob is an experienced Practitioner.
He was a Partner for many years at Blake Dawson Waldron ( now Ashurst) and headed up the firms National Corporate Risk and Insurance Practice.
Rob is one of Victoria’s leading Defendant Medical Defence lawyers acting on behalf of medical practitioners and health professionals in the defence of claims in all jurisdictions. He has defended catastrophic injury injury claims in the Supreme Court and conducted Coronial Inquests a number of which have attracted significant media.
He also represents Medical Practitioners in Investigations /disciplinary hearings involving Medicare/ AHPRA and the Medical Board of Australia.
He also practices in the areas of Employment and Occupational Health and Safety acting on behalf of Employers in WorkSafe prosecutions and in Fairwork Conciliations and Hearings.
He acts in the area of School Law assisting schools in the management of historical sexual abuse claims, liability claims and CCYP Investigations.
Rob has also been selected by his peers for inclusion in the Doyles Guide as one the leading Medical Negligence Lawyers ( Defendant) most recently in 2021 , 2022 , 2023 and 2024.

David Maddocks
Qualifications:

Ph.D. (Medicine - Neuropsychology) University of Melbourne
David graduated with Honours in Law in 1996 and was awarded the prestigious Supreme Exhibition Court Prize by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for his Honours thesis on Serious Injury Claims in Victoria. After his admission to legal practice, he joined a top-tier national firm in 1997 and became a partner in 2004. His practice has focused on litigation, with particular expertise in medical defence and school law.
David is an Accredited Personal Injury Specialist with the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) and served as a Tribunal Member on the State Government’s Intellectual Disability Review Tribunal for several years. He brings extensive litigation experience, having acted in the defence of a wide range of claims involving medical practitioners, the State of Victoria (including the Department of Education, Parks Victoria, and the former Department of Sustainability and Environment), as well as many private schools. He is a member of the LIV’s Examination Committee in relation to lawyers seeking specialist accreditation in personal injury. David provides pro-bono services for schools accommodating under-privileged minority students. He has received recognition by his peers in the Doyles Guide “best lawyers” category.
Before transitioning to law, David had an accomplished career as a neuropsychologist spanning over a decade. He worked in several leading hospitals, including the Royal Children’s Hospital, assessing cognitive and memory function in children and adolescents with acquired brain injuries resulting from transport accidents. He held the role of Chief Neuropsychologist at the Transport Accident Commission Rehabilitation Centre and completed a Ph.D. in Medicine, focusing on the cognitive effects and recovery following concussion in AFL footballers. He is a co-author of the international Concussion in Sport Group consensus proceedings in 2012 (Zurich), 2016 (Berlin) and 2022 (Amsterdam). He was a member of the AFL Concussion Working Group and a member of the AFL Grievance Tribunal.
David served on the Board of Cricket Victoria for 8 years including a three year period as Chair. He was a member of the Victorian Indigenous Cricket Advisory Committee. He was also Chair of the Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars in the BBL and WBBL competitions. He is presently a Director on the Board of Cricket Australia.
